So what exactly do all those designations mean? Here's a quick look at how Marsha's extensive training translates to her being a better Realtor for YOU!

  • GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) Marsha obtained this degree over 20 years ago! She took many classes over a period of years to learn enough to help people even better.
  • CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) This degree requires even more education and proven real life experience and production. Marsha meets other CRS's to share experience and referrals. She can help you find other realtors in other areas that care, too!
  • MRE (Masters in Real Estate) The requirements were tough but it was worth it. This is a Colorado degree that is rather elite. Currently (July 2002) there are only 64 in the state!
  • SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) The training in this course prepares Realtors for specialized needs in different "senior" segments, from the "boomers" (pre-retirees) to "active retirees" to "retirees" to "seniors". It's important to have knowledge of real estate investment strategies, such as "Tax Deferred Exchanges", that help people obtain property that may be better suited for them, without the tax implications. As a member of SAREC (Senior Advantage Real Estate Council), Marsha keeps informed in order to help people make good choices when making real estate decisions.
  • RECS (Real Estate Cyber Specialist) Marsha found that there was a wealth of information and tools that could be shared with her customers by joining this society. You can see the newsletter from a link on her website! There are monthly updates regarding education, hardware, software, interesting links... they even had an international convention ONLINE!
  • e-Pro This is a comprehensive interactive online course to update the real estate professional on technology and internet marketing strategies. As with other designations, there is a wealth of information to be shared with other real estate professionals. Marsha receives daily emails which are "chats" between realtors all over the country. They have news, opinions, questions, suggestions, and more!
